To the Millions of Bottom-Feeders

Dear Fellow Bottom-Feeders,
Firstly, I would like to commend you for clicking on this blog. The initial step to recovery is admission, though I cannot promise a cure. Secondly, don’t be alarmed by my addressing you as a bottom-feeder. It is a label that I hope you will learn to accept. I realize that some of you may be thinking, “What the frack is a bottom-feeder?” I will assuage your fear by letting you know that it is not feeding off of others bottoms- at least that is not my intended use for it. If you do happen to enjoy butt eating, be my guest! I’m not here to judge.
No, this blog is about the overlooked and the downtrodden: the service industry. It is the delightful concept upon which our entire crumbling economic system is built. This blog is for the burger flippers, the restaurant servers, the bank tellers, the movie ticket takers, the cashiers, everyone and anyone who is on the low rung chain of their career. I am tired of the poor customer horror stories. I am sick of hearing their pathetic woes. It is about time that the bottom-feeders tell our horror stories. I will take you on a journey through the countless jobs I have had of this caliber. We will cry and hold hands and sing Kumbaya all day… if that is what it takes.
I am a bottom-feeder. You are a bottom-feeder, and it is time to unite!

Here’s hoping that my stories are your stories,
C.G. Frechette
